Jeff joined the firm in 1998 and became a member in 2002. He received his license as a certified public accountant in North Carolina in 1999. Jeff spent 12 years with a large regional firm in Michigan prior to moving to the Raleigh area in 1998 and joining Steward Ingram & Cooper PLLC.
Jeff is responsible for overseeing the firm’s tax compliance operations. He provides services to small to medium sized corporations, partnerships and LLCs in the areas of tax consulting, research and compliance. He serves clients with multiple-entity structures including consolidations and related-party companies; multi-state issues; retirement and succession plan considerations.
Jeff also serves business owners and high net-worth individuals. His clients include individuals with flow-through entities and real estate activities. Understanding a client’s business and individual circumstances provides the opportunity to maximize tax benefits to a business and its owners.

Meet Jeff
Jeff grew up on a family farm in central Michigan and worked part-time in the family plumbing and HVAC business. After graduating from Alma College, he spent three years in banking before starting his accounting career. Jeff is involved in mission work with his church, including trips to Kiev, Ukraine, the Gulf Coast after Hurricane Katrina and Eastern North Carolina. He is also an adult leader in the youth program at his church.
He enjoys exercising, outdoor activities and travel.
Jeff resides in Raleigh with his wife Virginia.
