Tax Manager

Steward Ingram and Cooper is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead and manage multiple operations of the practice and deliver high-quality tax services that align with our firm’s reputation. If selected for this position, you will serve as a business advisor to our clients where you will strive to maximize engagement and achieve qualitative results.

$105,000 – $130,000 A YEAR (Based on Experience)
RALEIGH-DURHAM, NC
FULL-TIME | REMOTE

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships for individual and business clients
  • Manage tax compliance for individuals, fiduciaries, and businesses
  • Assist in the preparation of client tax returns
  • Manage planning for clients, including consulting and tax projections
  • Coordinate with Members in tax planning for clients

Requirements

  • CPA license
  • 7 plus years of tax preparation experience
  • Experience with CCH tax products (not required but it is a plus)
  • Ability to work in Raleigh-Durham area locations as needed

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a tax manager
  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns
  • Knowledge of CHH tax software preferred and MS Office
  • Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
  • Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills
  • Analytical skills with detail orientation
