Tax Manager

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager to lead and manage multiple operations of the tax practice area and to deliver quality tax services that will increase our firm’s reputation. You will serve as a business advisor to our clients aiming at maximizing engagement and achieving qualitative outcomes.

$105,000 – $125,000 A YEAR (Based on Experience)
RALEIGH-DURHAM, NC
FULL-TIME | REMOTE

Job Responsibilities

  • Manage relationships for individual and business clients
  • Manage tax compliance for individuals, fiduciaries, and businesses
  • Assist in the preparation of client tax returns
  • Manage planning for clients, including consulting and tax projections
  • Coordinate with Members in tax planning for clients

Requirements

  • CPA license
  • 7 plus years of tax preparation experience
  • Experience with CCH tax products a plus
  • Willingness to work in Raleigh and Durham locations

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a tax manager
  • Excellent knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns
  • Knowledge of CHH tax software preferred and MS Office
  • Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
  • Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
  • Strong leadership and personnel management skills
  • Analytical skills with detail orientation

Audit Senior

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in the managing and planning for all phases of an audit, compilation, or review engagements.
  • Preparation of clear, concise work papers with definitive conclusions, and follow documentation standards
  • Closely work with the team to tackle accounting, auditing, and other issues, while using audit tools and technology
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including footnotes, in accordance with applicable standards
  • Assist in the preparation of business and individual tax returns as needed.

Requirements

  • Must have met all requirements to sit for the CPA exam, being a licensed CPA a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in public accounting working on audit, review and compilation engagements
  • Experience with CCH Engagement a plus
  • Willing to work in Raleigh and Durham offices
