Key Responsibilities
- Manage the process of a variety of complex tax returns, including multi-state returns, for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Develop and manage long-term client relationships for individual and business clients by providing strategic tax planning services.
- Conduct tax research on complex matters, summarize findings, and provide guidance on complex tax issues.
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices and provide correspondence on behalf of clients.
- Interpret and apply tax law changes and advise on multi-state tax considerations.
- Identify opportunities for value-added services to existing clients.
- Manage multiple tax engagements with attention to details, deadlines, and budgets.
- Ensure firm procedures and standards are followed.
Qualifications
We’re seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented professional with strong organizational skills.
- 7+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
- CPA license required
- Prior supervisory experience
- Thorough knowledge of tax compliance, tax accounting, and all types of tax returns
- Experience with CCH tax products (a plus)
- Strong leadership and analytical skills
