Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare a variety of complex tax returns, including multi-state returns, for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
  • Prepare tax workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with firm standards.
  • Assist in tax planning and compliance strategies for clients and identify opportunities to maximize tax savings.
  • Conduct technical research, summarize findings, and provide guidance on complex tax issues.
  • Assist with IRS and state tax notices and related correspondence.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Communicate complex tax matters clearly and professionally.
  • Analyze new tax laws and communicate findings to partners.

Qualifications

We’re seeking a detail-oriented, motivated professional with:

  • 3-5 years of experience in public accounting (tax focus preferred)
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
  • CPA license required
  • Technology/Software proficiency in:
    • CCH Axcess 
    • CCH Engagement 
    • BNA Income Tax Planner 
    • QuickBooks 
    • Microsoft Excel and Word
