Key Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of complex tax returns, including multi-state returns, for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and trusts.
- Prepare tax workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with firm standards.
- Assist in tax planning and compliance strategies for clients and identify opportunities to maximize tax savings.
- Conduct technical research, summarize findings, and provide guidance on complex tax issues.
- Assist with IRS and state tax notices and related correspondence.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Communicate complex tax matters clearly and professionally.
- Analyze new tax laws and communicate findings to partners.
Qualifications
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, motivated professional with:
- 3-5 years of experience in public accounting (tax focus preferred)
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation.
- CPA license required
- Technology/Software proficiency in:
- CCH Axcess
- CCH Engagement
- BNA Income Tax Planner
- QuickBooks
- Microsoft Excel and Word
